Over 1 in 5 Americans suffers from chronic pain. Our lab uses animal models and patient samples to investigate the basis of chronic pain, particularly in understudied conditions like sickle cell disease. We aim to develop novel, non-opioid based therapies to ease suffering for those suffering from chronic pain.
